Let’s Play: Half-Life: Alyx (PC-VR), Part 3

My instincts about Half-Life: Alyx being a great virtual reality game have been confirmed, so far. Now my instincts are telling me that the ride is almost over. A part of me hopes a whole new end game mode becomes available as Alyx sets up for her next appearance in the Half-Life 2, or even a Half-Life: Alyx 2. However, this is unlikely.

Then there are the words of the first Vortigaunt that we encountered. It spoke about perspective of free will and choice, or perhaps regarding the fabric of space and time. It also said that it was “severed from the Vortessence,” so Valve can write off it’s ramblings as literal brain damage.

Will we get a glimpse of what the Half-Life franchise is working on as a result of the choices Alyx makes in Half-Life: Alyx? Or, maybe we are altering the future, now that we have a different perspective of the future’s past.

Let’s Play: Half-Life: Alyx (PC-VR), Part 2

I had such a good time with Half-Life: Alyx the last time I played. Now it’s time to see how well it holds up after a good first impression, after about 4 hours of initial gameplay. While I’d probably still be satisfied with more of the same, I’m still excited to see if I’ll continue to have my mind blown with more.
