Let’s Play: Satisfactory (PC), Scaling Early Production

Now that we’ve got a foothold on early production output in Satisfactory, I think it’s time to start scaling what we’ve got. This will make it easier to fulfill orders and milestones, while prototyping factory layouts for future production networks.

Well, I felt very productive! We were able to layout a production network for almost all of our production recipes, and we completed our first space elevator delivery.

I also began to see how the developers are trying to steer people away from manual production in favor of factory production. However, I think it feels a bit forced to handicap our abilities. Maybe some kind of incentive would be better motivation for factory production.

If there’s anything a game like Death Stranding has taught us about something as mundane as package delivery, it’s that there’s something mesmerizing and rewarding about accumulating worthless points and developing arbitrary behavior alignments. Not to say creating such systems for Satisfactory would be easy, but it may be necessary to learn about and motivate the Satisfactory player base.
