We have been slowly pushing towards the last known location of Detective Nick Valentine, who may help me find my son. Feeling more confident in Fallout 4 VR leads me to believe we can find him by the end of this gaming session. Do I have what it takes? Or, do I need to level up and gear up more?
After a more successful Fallout 4 VR experience yesterday, we’re going in again! This time we’re trying a third game capturing option that should provide the best experience my audience. We’ve tried a partial game view port, and we’ve tried a mirrored HTC Vive lens view port. Today we’ll use Open Broadcaster Software on my gaming computer to capture the full game view port and activate “Full Screen Preview Mode” on the monitor that is captured by my streaming computer.
Our first session of Fallout 4 VR was not as smooth as I hoped. We encountered issues from capturing gameplay footage, to overall blurry visuals and my eventual VR sickness by the end of the stream. However there was enough promise throughout playing the game to come back and troubleshoot gameplay capture options, opt into the recent Beta Update 18.104.22.168 and mentally & physically prepare myself for more potential VR sickness. Let’s try this again!
