Let’s Play: Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (PC + Vive), Bear Arms

I had so much fun playing Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (H3) on the 4th of July that I want to play some more. I feel like I only scratched the surface of what the game has to offer. There’s tons of guns that I have yet to try, and even more customizations and combinations of ways to use them in the various game modes that I have yet to see.

Also, in honor of US independence and throughout July, I’m continuing to raise funds for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Once again, wow! I had a lot of fun playing H3, and was pleasantly surprised by the level of detail and depth that was in a game mode from 2017 that parodies the HBO series, Westworld. “Wurstworld” was a fun mix of scavenger hunt, creative puzzles, and gun fights that were enough to fill about 4 hours of fully engaged gameplay from me.

While my tolerance for extended gameplay might be a lot higher than the average virtual reality gamer, the second game mode that I played is perfect for a quick game of team death match. “Meat Fortress” pays homage to the aesthetics of Team Fortress 2 by Valve. While I don’t think all the mechanics of the original game are there, I found it more fun to run and gun with my own customized load out. Meat Fortress will currently be my go-to game mode to practice H3 game mechanics and test out weapon load outs.

Lots of fun!
