When Doki Doki Literature Club! first came out I did watch some gameplay and I’m aware of a few spoilers, but I have yet to experience the game for myself. So on one hand I’ll be testing my nerve for psychological horror, and on the other hand I’ll be testing different voice effects and acting to try to bring each character to life.
Well that was A LOT of reading and nothing too crazy has happened yet. However, “the good part” is right around the corner and we’re officially invested to see this thing through.
I actually don’t think it would work the other way around, if all the crazy stuff happens at the beginning or all throughout the game. In this way Doki Doki Literature Club sets itself apart from all the other games that dive right into the deep end of psychological horror. At least that what I believe, to each their own.
