Let’s Play: HITMAN 2 (PC) Part 5 – Ending (Master Difficulty)

All good things must come to an end, and so too must the main campaign in HITMAN 2. As we take on our final mission, I will also keep playing at the Master difficulty since it wasn’t THAT bad last time, and it will more than likely help us extend our play time.

So, we did it! It took a little longer than we’re used to, but we did it. We beat the final campaign mission of HITMAN 2 on Master difficulty. It only took about five and a half hours!

The biggest distraction from completing a blind mission on Master difficulty is be distracted by all the possible objective opportunities and mixing up which elements go with which opportunities. This is especially true when considering that many opportunities can run concurrently right up until they interfere with each other.

So there’s no wonder that I got myself confused by overthinking my objectives, and having tunnel vision with what I thought was correct. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun diving in and figuring things out on my own and not having my hand held.

There’s definitely something more engaging and rewarding about exploring mission maps without guidance. Every interactive object you come across could be the next step towards your objective, and every conversation within ear shot is more intelligence on how you can complete your objective. This is a big contrast to having a visible way-point and explanation available to you, making everything else along the way comparable to stopping and smelling the roses.

In the end, I had a blast and I’m still eager to play more to complete different challenges, explore new objective opportunities, and play alternative game modes. My interest in the Hitman story is also at it highest peak, and I’m looking forward to IO Interactive’s next Hitman title in this series.
